Congratulations to Reid Bouvier on being selected by Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning as Indigenous Educator of the Month (November 2024).
Reid currently teaches humanities courses in an alternative education program called Flexible Education at Steinbach Regional Secondary School. He was recently appointed as the Indigenous Learning Coach for the 91¸£Àû. .
Showcasing Indigenous educators throughout Manitoba, monthly educators are posted to the Government of Manitoba website throughout the school year beginning September to June. This project is intended to compliment both the booklet featuring educators’ roles and responsibilities, personal stories, as well as words of encouragement for youth and the highlighting educators in various educational roles such as teachers, administrators, educators and Elders.
